Frequently asked questions.
What are your qualifications as a coach?
I have completed a one year Transformational Life Coaching curriculum through the Dale Halaway Network. To complete the process to become a coach I logged over 60 hours of practice sessions as well. I have been taking classes with Dale since 2016, including weeklong courses such as the coaching courses and Dale’s Masterquest seminar.
Do we have to meet in-person?
No, most sessions are done via phone call. In-person sessions are possible as are internet-based video conferencing.
How much does coaching cost?
Pricing can be based per session, session packages, or monthly support packages. A good rule of thumb would be to budget roughly $200 - $400 per month four standard packages.
How do I determine if Coach Chris is the right coach for me?
After a brief meet and greet via phone or in-person, we will have a consultation session to determine if we’re the right fit.
Are you a Psychotherapist?
No, nor do I claim to be a substitute for one. Therapists analyze their client's past as a tool for understanding present behaviors, whereas life coaches simply identify and describe current problematic behaviors so the client can work to modify them. Therapy and life coaching do share certain traits and aims and at times we may look at your past to help you make progress today. That said, Psychotherapists, psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists and other mental health professionals are trained professionals that must complete thousands of hours of training and have earned a multiple year degree in their chosen field. Please note, if you have had or have mental illness/clinical depression or have had or do have self-destructive/suicidal thoughts, I highly recommend a trained psychotherapist who is legally able to prescribe prescription medication and provide another level of help.
