My Transformational Journey Bio
I have always been a seeker of answers regarding the spiritual, the mystical and the metaphysical world. I have studied world religions and read many spiritual texts. Although I am not able to quote any material nor do I claim to be a thought leader, expert, scholar etc. on the subject, I do feel that I have been able to grasp the content, meaning and feeling of these subjects. I have grasped these things through my mind and then I’ve been able to feel my way through them. I have participated, experienced, been exposed to and/or practiced on some level…
Meditation, both group and individual
Holotropic breathwork
Religious studies
Anthroposophical Studies, independent Study
Psychotherapy both as an individual, in my marriage and in my family unit
Hallucinogenic Experiences that have provided me with context and perspective regarding reality and the nature of things
Sports and Outdoor experiences that have enhanced my connection to my body and to self-discipline as well as connection to the Earth: These include cycle-touring, backpacking, hiking, surfing & SUP, mountain biking, rock climbing & motorbiking in extremely remote territory
Men’s groups: circle and group trips
Personal Transformational work
A key component to a healthy mind and spiritual development is a healthy body. I have been a sportsman my entire life as you can see from the sports above. I also played collegiate and club Rugby for five years, practiced intensive guided workouts and training with a coach and pushed myself in endurance sports such as cycling. Regarding the seeking ideology, I first came to Dale’s seminars in mid-2016 and immediately realized that Dale was a very special person and that I wanted him to become my teacher. I have been to just about every seminar and event Dale and his team have provided since then. My wife initially introduced me to the work and we were very excited about it as it seemed like an affordable way to improve our relationship. Indeed it was! We soon discovered that to improve our relationship we had to firstly improve ourselves! We had been to couples therapy over the years and read self-help books etc. Dale was by far the best transformational teacher we had ever met and we quickly realized results in our relationship.
My Traditional Bio…
Hi, my name is Christopher Montigny. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA and I am of French descent. Since both my parents are French I grew up in a traditional French household but was heavily influenced by the liberal California culture of the seventies and eighties. This meant traditional hard work from a young age in the family business and it also included all the benefits of the California open-minded culture regarding other people, lifestyles, music, art, politics, cultures, etc.
I embraced the outdoor lifestyle: I loved the ocean and grew up at the beach and in the water, I spent summers camping and I rode my bike year-round. Our family trips to France and other European countries really opened my eyes and sparked the love for travel in me. I also loved camping with my family and going on adventures and hikes either alone or with friends. I also loved art, music, riding motorcycles and ATV’s, bmx and mountain bike riding and skateboarding!
After high school in Santa Barbara I studied International Business in college and was lucky enough to spend a year and a half of my time in Paris, France. I then returned to Santa Barbara and restarted my journey in a new family business. After years as the Operations Manager and running the day-to-day I now own that very same business and have a family of my own.
I share my love of the outdoors with my wife and our three boys. I’ve always been a seeker of new challenges and knowledge in life so transformational work resonates deeply with me. I’ve always appreciated working with therapists and transformational communities and my interest in philosophy and spirituality drove me to dive deep. This led me to Dale Halaway and seminars that inspire. I immediately connected with the programs. Now, years after beginning with them, I’m a Transformational Life Coach. Please see my Transformational Bio for details.
As a practicing coach, my background in transformation, leadership, business, healthy living and raising a family is helping my clients. My experience level has aided me in asking the right questions at the right time of my clients. I’m not only able to explain the concepts intellectually, (the head), I’m able to work through my feeling body and that helps my clients connect with their feelings and do the same. I’ve been told throughout my life that I’m sensitive and I used to think that was a fault. Now I realize, through my development that I’m an empath and I’m able to connect on a deep level with others. My background in management and strategic planning of multiple organizations enables me to help my clients see the big picture and connect the dots. These factors as well as being supported by the Dale Halaway network have greatly benefitted my coaching clients in their transformational journeys.
Coaching Relationship Introduction
As my coaching client, your journey will begin with a consultation to ensure that we’re the right fit to work together. During the consult and/or within the first few sessions I will help you identify where you would like to see positive changes in your life. I will also introduce you to the Transcovery Process which is a powerful, yet simple and intuitive transformational tool that is the cornerstone of the TLC experience. See the Transcovery Process page for more information. Identifying areas where there is stuck energy and blockages and then working through them with the Transcovery Process will enable you to manage your own energy and provide inner strength that will help clarify your true direction and purpose in life. I will be right there with you and guiding you during the sessions. In between sessions you will choose transformational homework such as journaling, meditations, transcovery work, gratitude ritual or another modality of your choice to help our work together when we meet again.
The work is not easy but its greatly rewarding and you’ll see and feel the benefits in all aspects of your life. You’ll be empowered to create change in your life by choosing specifically what you want to work on. My unique style and approach as a coach will help you make your own transformation discoveries and shifts.
